The University of Design, Innovation and Technology (UDIT) will make it easier for its students to promote their projects, activities and awards, by registering them on Web 3.0, through the collaboration agreement signed with SmartDegrees.
The agreement will allow students to manage the authenticity of their documents from their smartphones, through a free application that will make it easier for them to share their data with the university and with third parties, guaranteeing the inviolability and authenticity of the document, as it is registered in blockchain, benefiting from the innovation that Web 3.0 represents.
Advantages of document certification: agility, convenience and security
- It facilitates the promotion of the document, since it allows it to be shared quickly and comfortably with third parties.
- The student is the sovereign owner of his data and decides where, how and when to display and use it.
- The application and blockchain support technology guarantee its authenticity, its inviolability and prevent any type of fraud.
The agreement will also make it easier for each university student to have a self-managed digital identity (Self-Sovereign Identity), to which the above documents are associated, forming a UDIT Smart Portfolio, interoperable with universities and institutions in other countries, by using the Verifiable Credentials standard of the European Commission and the EUDI Wallet digital identity of its European Blockchain Services Infrastructure initiative.
